Democrat Corruption Back in Spotlight as Madigan’s Former Chief of Staff Heads to Trial

Indicted former House Speaker Mike Madigan’s Chief of Staff Timothy Mapes is heading to trial starting today in the latest episode of the Federal government’s wide ranging corruption investigation. Mapes is accused of lying to federal investigators about communications and knowledge he had of Madigan’s corrupt activities. Illinois must pass robust and sweeping ethics reforms to clean up government and stamp out corruption.
